I started experiencing intense, unilateral exertion headaches out of the blue. Every time I would laugh, cough, work out, etc., I would feel pain. I was extremely concerned because I had never had headaches of any kind in the past. I visited a neurologist and was told that it could be something minor or something as serious as a brain tumor, but that he wouldn't know unless I got an MRI/MRA. Almost $2,000 later, I was told that the imaging results were normal, and the doctor still didn't know what was causing the headaches. I get blood work done to rule out some other potential causes. Again, all results came back normal, yet the headaches persisted.

I've known Bo for years, and at the time I was experiencing this problem he was the Assistant coach of the team I run. He heard me complaining about the headaches to our team's AT on a bus trip to an away game. He suggested I try a session with him. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so I agreed. I will say that I am a big skeptic of any kind of alternative therapy, and I honestly didn't think it could possibly do anything to help something this serious. I was so wrong. I kid you not when I say that the VERY NEXT DAY my headaches (by this time now present for about 3 months) were completely gone!!!

Bo has treated my 11 year old daughter for a variety of sports-related injuries. The most significant of those was a severe ankle sprain. I severely sprained my ankle on March 18, 2014. At soccer practice my team was scrimmaging, there was a loose ball and I got to the ball first, with my right foot on the ball, my left foot gave out causing me to fall to the ground in excruciating pain. For the next two weeks I was on crutches. I knew this process would pass but it was all a matter of time, and if it correctly healed. My dad had talked to my previous coach, Bo, and he recommended that I do his treatment of sound, color, and movement therapy. This type of treatment is all new to me. However I am so glad I was exposed to this! My ankle started feeling better the day of and my range of motion had increased. I am not sure how but it was amazing!

The tuning forks used were a bit intimidating, as I've never seen them before. It did not hurt at all; therefore I would recommend this to everyone. I've worked with many different kinds of healers. What I want to tell you about Bo's work is that it has been the most effective healing modality I have ever encountered. I have been going to see him for emotional distress each week for about two months. I can hardly believe what has surfaced and what is dissolving. Nothing else helped me get at what has troubled me so deeply, but since I started working with Bo, memories have bubbled up from far far back that I didn't even know it was possible to revisit and resolve issues so easily.

I have actually been able to inner-source so deep that I could hear "the noise" from the past. For example, the ruckus from the family feud over a piece of land came up. All this time, I thought there was something wrong with me. It was the "noise" from the feud that tormented me. Bo's work brought up the "noise" that offended my ears and my dignity.

I have never experienced anything like his work. What I like about it is that the sound and the light therapy he uses are pure empathy. The empathy from his use of tuning fork and chime vibration and light and color silk allows me to slip into the deepest relaxation. During Bo's sessions, I sink further into the subconscious than in my own private meditation practice. During the week, I write and it all flows up and out.

I hurt my heel after running many practices on an uneven ground. My heel had pounding pain when I stepped on it. Vibrating sticks (Tuning Forks) were placed on either side of my lower Achilles. It would be placed about two seconds on and then two seconds off for about 15 intervals for about 7-10 minutes, it actually felt rather relaxing

I felt immediate relief, but was not healed enough to play soccer right away. The next day I played in my soccer game with a little remaining pain in my heel. I just wore turf shoes to spread the remaining pain. After the game my heel hurt, but not as much as before I was treated. I didn't play soccer for four days after this game and I do not recall any significant pain when I returned to soccer practice.

Yes, because it gave me physical relief. And, since I believe in Coach Bo, I felt as if his procedure must work.

When you ask me my first memory of Bo Nielsen, I would have to stop and really think back to when I was 10 or 11 years old. But if you were to ask me one of the quickest memories that comes to mind, it is on the soccer field. Not strange for circumstance, as Bo was my soccer coach. I vividly remember a moment when we were doing a technical ball skills warmup and Coach Bo ran us through the usual movemements. Cuts left and right, feints, turns and change of speed. But then he prompted us to think of a direction outside of forward, back, left or right. The team was stumped. Then he scoops the ball up with his toe over the leg of the oncoming defender and I remember being surprised. I was surprised because I had never thought to go up before. That was Bo. Always surprising us with new perspectives and new ideas that could alter your game 1% each day to make you better. I worked with Bo in this way from 11yrs old all the way until I was 25. He went from being a personal coach to my high school coach and then a coach for my professional women's team. And for all 15 or so years, Bo would continually come up with ways to challenge my brain in soccer and life.

One of my favorite things that Bo brought into my life was the power of visualization. As an athlete this was another outside-the-box approach to winning in a physical sport. The first time we used visualization as a soccer performance enhancer was my freshman year of high school. Frankly, I was 14 and thought it was silly. He walked us through the feelings of winning the game in our minds. Through specific imagery and words, Bo would paint the picture of success. I didn't draw a direct connection right away. But over the course of those high school years, Bo was clear and consistent with his approach to making us better through visualization. With each progressive year, we won more games and had growing success. The visualization had a profound impact on my confidence and mental strength. When the team would get close to the end of tight games, it felt like I had been there before. I was comfortable with intense, high risk situations and we found a lot of success. When things would go wrong, I was strong enough to get my mind right and come back from the failure. The team won tournaments, league, and got to the state finals. When Bo joined with the professional team I played for we made playoffs year after year before winning the national championship in 2013.

Coach Bo helped to set the stage for me as a confident young female. Since having Bo as a mentor, I have had success outside of athletics as well. The mental clarity that was cultivated under his careful eye was a great baseline for the adult I am now. I have been given the opportunity to find success in college, as a Division 1 NCAA soccer coach, as a self employed business owner and as a human being. I still visualize on a weekly basis but it's no longer about the game winning penalty kick in double overtime. I now have the opportunity to mentor kids in mental strength, goal setting and creative solutions just like Coach Bo did for me.
